Pet owners around the country have voiced their concern about their pets contracting COVID-19, but that is not the case.
According to veterinary reports, cats and dogs cannot contract this type of virus.
The biggest threat your pet poses is that they can spread it if you sneeze or cough on them, and the virus gets on their fur. If someone were to pet our furry friend shortly after that, the virus could be transmitted to the other person.
It is being advised that anyone who is showing any symptoms isolate themselves from their pet, so they don’t accidentally spread it.
If you have any questions about the health of your pet, contact your veterinarian.
