With many facets of local government operations shut down or limited, some Manitowoc city employees are helping out the community in other ways.
Employees from Maritime Metro Transit were assisting with the cleanup along the Maritime Drive Trail.
An explanation given was this duty is to keep them working for the city and accomplish much-needed improvements after a harsh winter.
We’re told that some Maritime Metro employees will be working the polls on Spring election day next Tuesday, April 7th.
In addition, some Public Library employees have also been helping with early voting at City Hall, while others are reading children’s stories on videos posted on the Library’s Facebook page.
