As the days go by, we are seeing more and more people doing different things to help the healthcare workers who are putting their health on the line every time they go to work.
A student at Manitowoc Lincoln High School has decided to help out by using his 3D printing skills to create reusable protective masks for those workers.
Ryan Barker has a few printers at home but wants to do more, so he is trying to raise $7,500 to buy more printers and materials.
As of the last word, Barker has raised over $5,000 and needs just a little more help to reach his goal.
Once the need has subsided, and the community has recovered from the COVID-19 pandemic, Barker says that he will donate all of the printers he purchased with the money raised, as well as any extra material to the Lakeshore First Robotics Program.
Ryan is currently fundraising through Facebook. Anyone wishing to donate can do that HERE.
