Many people are continuing to be concerned about contracting COVID-19 and spreading it to loved ones.
Health officials are continuing to inform concerned citizens that the best practices to avoid the virus are to stay home, wash your hands properly, and if you do go out to remain at least six feet away from others.
However, if you do start to feel ill and are concerned about your symptoms, be sure to seek medical attention. The easiest way to do that is by calling the Infectious Disease Hotlines at your local hospital. In Manitowoc, the hotlines for Holy Family Memorial (920-320-3333), Prevea Health (888-277-3832), and Aurora (866-443-2584) are all open 24 hours a day, and seven days a week to ensure you receive the best possible advice no matter when you are feeling off.
People with COVID-19 have reported a wide range of symptoms including fever and dry cough, muscle pains, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell and chills.
These symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. Consult your medical provider for any other symptoms that are severe or concerning to you.
