The WIAA Board of Control has voted to cancel high school spring sports and tournaments due to the COVID 19 Pandemic. However- 30 days of summer contact will be allowed for spring coaches if they include seniors and abide by Governor Evers guidelines under his ‘Safer at Home” order.
The decision was made during the Board of Control’s regularly scheduled meeting via video conference. All High School Sports have been on hold since March 12th when the WIAA canceled the remaining two days of the Girls State Basketball Tournament at the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon followed by the cancellation of the entire State Boys Basketball Tournament at the Kohl Center in Madison.
The WIAA plans to release further details fairly soon.
