Brown County now has the second-highest total of positive confirmed COVID 19 cases in Wisconsin.
The State Department of Health’s Daily listing has Brown County with 416 positive overall cases with 93 coming in the last 24 hours. Only Milwaukee County has recorded more with well over 2300.
County Health Officials say 147 cases are linked to an outbreak at the JBS Beef facility in Green Bay, 39 cases are tied to American Foods Group in Green Bay while 19 cases have been linked to Salm Partners in Denmark.
Manitowoc County remains at seven positive cases with 246 negative tests and no fatalities while Sheboygan County has 45 with 671 negative tests and two deaths.
Meanwhile, State Health Officials reported the largest one-day increase since the pandemic of 225 more positive cases bringing the total to 4,845. Four more deaths are confirmed bringing the total to 246 while almost 50,000 people tested negative. State Health Officials attribute the higher positive tests to more tests being processed. About 1900 in the last 24 hours with those numbers expected to increase as more testing is administered.
