Shoreline Hometown Credit Union has created a “COVID-19 Relief Grant”, which is designed to assist non-essential hometown businesses during the pandemic crisis.
Qualifying businesses are being sent information about the program right now, and they will be able to apply for the grant online.
Kyle Bryntesen, Hometown Business Development Officer at Shoreline explained, “Many of these businesses are out of sight, out of mind because they are not allowed to be open. So we’re hoping that the grant can help out with their expenses.”
The grant is designed to be used to support the local community and does not need to be paid back. “The grant is meant to be quick, easy, and not to be paid back. Our only stipulation is the selected businesses use the funds to support our community,” said Bryntesen.
The winning applicants will receive $20,000, which will be awarded in $2,000 increments.
More information on this program can be found at ShorelineCU.org, or by calling 920-482-3711.
The grant is only open to participating “non-essential” Hometown Businesses. If any businesses are interested in becoming a participating Hometown Business it is free to join.
