Wisconsin Chief Medical Officer Doctor Ryan Westergaard says “we’re by no means out of the woods”when it comes to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Westergaard notes that the state has a positive rate of between three and five percent which overall is good. Four percent of the more than 12-thousand coronavirus tests were positive Thursday.
Department of Health Services Secretary Andrew Palm says this disease is still prevalent in communities . . . “it is still spreading and you can see that in the hundreds of positive cases on a daily basis.”
Westergaard added that infections in nursing homes remain a concern.
