The name of the 33 year old man who went airborne at the intersection of Waldo Blvd and Maritime Drive yesterday morning has been released.
According to police reports, Christopher L. Ducat was seen passed out in his vehicle, and police were called to perform a welfare check on him at around 6:30 Tuesday morning.
Ducat then fled from officers, and approached the roundabout at a high rate of speed. He failed to turn and launched off the center section of the intersection, went airborne, and nearly struck an individual walking their dog.
Ducat then fled the scene on foot, but was located a short time later under the Little Manitowoc River Bridge. Ducat was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine, fentanyl and drug paraphernalia.
He is also facing charges of Obstructing an officer, and 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.
