It will now be easier for friends and families to visit their loved ones who are in the hospital, at least at hospitals in the HSHS system.
HSHS Wisconsin President and CEO Andrew Bagnall said in a news release that policies will be adjusted as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to ease.
One change has already been made, as all adult patients are allowed to have one support person with them. This includes surgery patents, and that individual must stay in the patient’s room.
Exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis, especially in situations that involve end-of-life implications.
Screenings for the virus will still take place as anyone enters the building.
