Another case of Arson was reported in Manitowoc late last week.
Police were called to the home in the 1000 block of South 15th Street at around 5:00 PM, after the Fire Department had extinguished the blaze.
Officers learned that a 36 year old man that lived in apartment A (which is an upper apartment) at that location had gotten drunk and attempted to fight with another resident because he “didn’t want to get black out drunk”.
Roughly half an hour after the confrontation, the lower resident noticed smoke and flames coming from the rear of the building.
The suspect reportedly pulled a comforter out the back window and started it on fire.
The investigation continued, with other people being interviewed, and the suspect was arrested on Friday. He is facing charges of Arson, Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, and Five counts of Second Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.
