The number of COVID-19 cases continues to rise in Manitowoc County.
Emergency Services Director Travis Waack reports 92 positive cases, with 4 coming in on Friday, 2 on Saturday and 3 on Sunday. Also, 258 more negative tests came back negative over that time frame, bringing the total number up to 5,796.
Waack also reported that there has been an increase in the percentage of positive cases in the County, which now is at 1.56%. At its lowest, that percentage was just under 1%.
He reiterated to SeehaferNews.com, “It’s very important for everyone here on the lakeshore to continue to be diligent, avoiding those crowded places (bars restaurants, parties and other events) to keep our increase in check.”
The Sheboygan County Division of Public Health no longer issues reports on Saturday or Sunday, but as of their last report on Friday, there were 196 positive cases, 175 recoveries, 17 active cases, and 8,801 negative tests.
