Only a week after the Two Rivers Police Department reported two of their employees contacted COVID-19, the Fire Department has done the same.
According to Fire Chief Steve Denzien, two staff members at the TRFD have tested positive for the virus, and they are “not aware of any spread from the disease beyond the members of the fire department.”
Chief Denzian also noted “There was little to no chance of our members spreading the virus to any patient due to the high level of PPE that our members wear on every call.”
The infected staff members are remaining in self quarantine for the recommended 14 days, and will be re-tested prior to returning to work. No identifying information on who contacted the virus was released.
