The owners of the Milwaukee Bucks could wind up in court with the Democratic Party – and not a basketball court.
The trouble started in May when the Milwaukee 2020 Host Committee didn’t make its $1 million installment payment.
The big plans for the Democratic National Convention included a $7 million contract to use the Fiserv Forum. That has all changed.
The party wanted to amend its contract and reduce the payment, but Bucks President Peter Feigin said the full $7 million was due whether the convention was held at the new facility or not.
Eventually, reports indicate the Democrats paid $5.5 million for the rights to a building they won’t be using.
