COVID-19 is still prevalent in Manitowoc and Sheboygan Counties, as was proven with yesterday’s Health Department reports.
In Manitowoc County, nine more cases were confirmed, bringing the total number of cases up to 131. 91 of those cases are active, as 39 people have recovered. Only 87 negative tests came back, leaving 6,930 total negative results.
A significant number of those new cases were reported in the 46-65 year old age group, but a few were also in the 18-35 year old group as well.
It should also be noted that the percentage of cases in the Manitowoc zip code (54220) is a little over half, but over the past few weeks, the Two Rivers zip code (54241) has been growing.
Meanwhile in Sheboygan County, 16 more cases were confirmed yesterday. This jumps their total number of cases up to 268, with 55 remaining active, as 209 people have recovered. Their number of negative tests is approaching 12,000, as 237 more were reported yesterday.
It is also being reported that over 37% of all cases in the county are in people between 20-39 years of age.
