The tale of two counties continues, as Manitowoc and Sheboygan Counties are reporting vastly different number of new COVID-19 cases.
In Manitowoc County, four more cases were reported yesterday, raising the total number of cases up to 206. Three more people fully recovered as well leaving 140 active cases, 65 recoveries, and still the one death. Only 13 more negative tests were reported, raising that total up to 8,086.
Manitowoc County Emergency Services Director Travis Waack is reminding people of the importance of mask wearing, and making sure you are doing it properly. “Just make sure that when you do wear a mask you wear it properly, which includes covering your nose and your moth,” Waack said. “It’s not necessary either to pull the mask down when you talk. When you pull it down to talk that could again spread the virus.”
Meanwhile in Sheboygan County 43 more cases were reported since Friday, bringing the countywide total up to 418. The recoveries keep rolling in, as 24 more people have defeated the virus. 127 cases remain active, with 286 total recoveries. 687 negative tests were reported as well, totaling 14,683 since the start of the pandemic.
