The F-R-C-C, of which Manitowoc Lincoln is a member, has decided that all football games this fall will only be played in conference.
Football is considered a “high risk” sport in regards to the spread of COVID-19, so conferences and leagues around the country are doing everything they can to protect the players while also allowing them to play.
The WIAA decided last week to push back the start of all fall sports, with low-risk sports including girls golf, girls tennis, girls swim & dive and boys and girls cross country starting August 17th, and high-risk sports including football, boys soccer and girls and boys volleyball starting September 7th.
Meanwhile, in the Eastern Wisconsin Conference, we received word about 2 events being postponed, due to the later start date for Fall Sports.
The first is the Roncalli-Two Rivers vs. Kohler Girls Tennis match, originally scheduled for August 18th moved back to September 8th, and the Roncalli at Valders football game, being changed from September 18th to November 6th.
