The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reports only four percent of the people tested Tuesday were positive for COVID-19.
The number of new cases was still higher than Monday because more than 18,000 people were tested. Twelve new deaths put the state’s toll from the virus at 961.
Although 51 patients were hospitalized Tuesday, the state’s hospitals still have more than 2,300 beds available.
Doctors still advise cleaning your hands often, but the Wisconsin Poison Center has issued a warning about hand sanitizer produced at home or in other countries – saying the product can contain dangerous chemicals.
