The City of Manitowoc now has a brand-new roadway, which leads to several plots of land with future development plans.
Bayshore Drive, located off Waldo Boulevard at the roundabout, goes back through the former Elks Club property, which is home to the Angelus Senior Center.
Along that roadway are plots of land where a BayCare center, Community First Credit Union and River’s Edge Apartments will be located, and several other plots of land are still available for development.
The roadway is not yet open to public traffic, but the project is near completion.
Mayor Justin Nickels called the roadway and surrounding developments “A major economic development for the City.”
