A Manitowoc woman is facing charges after she attempted to steal nearly $100 worth of automotive items from Walmart.
The Manitowoc Police Department was informed of the theft in progress at 4:00 Tuesday afternoon at the Manitowoc Walmart. The loss prevention worker informed the responding officer that the 40-year-old female had placed several items from the automotive section into her purse and entered the restroom.
When she left the bathroom, she purchased one item, and left the store with the other items still in her purse. The officer confronted the woman, who admitted to taking the items, which were valued at $96.83.
She is now facing charges of Retail Theft and Felony Bail Jumping.
