There are still more people actively battling COVID-19 in Manitowoc County than there are people who have recovered.
As of yesterday’s update by the Manitowoc County Health Department, 225 cases are still listed as active, while 208 people have recovered. Compare that to Sheboygan County, where the Division of Public Health reports 84 active cases, and 820 recoveries.
The disparity is due to the fact that the Counties have different standards for determining recovery.
Also, in the Manitowoc County report are six additional positive cases, and 68 negative tests, leaving a pandemic total of 434 positive, and 11,582 negative tests.
In Sheboygan County, 11 more cases were confirmed along with 212 negative tests. This brings the pandemic totals up to 912 confirmed cases and 25,224 negative test results.
