Just when the numbers were starting to look ok again, the Manitowoc County Health Department reported a spike in the number of COVID-19 cases.
17 new cases were confirmed yesterday, along with 6 new recoveries, and 30 negative tests. A total of 533 cases have been confirmed throughout the pandemic, with 232 of them remaining active.
With a total on 12,367 negative tests results, the percentage of tests coming back positive is continuing to rise, now at 4.1%.
Meanwhile, in Sheboygan County, The Division of Public Health reported 55 cases between Saturday and Monday, along with 34 recoveries, 843 negative tests, and another death.
That is the 9th death that has been linked to the Coronavirus, although not all deaths are directly caused by the virus. Most people die due to complications of previous illnesses, which are extrapolated by COVID-19.
A total of 1,071 people have contracted the virus in Sheboygan County, with 108 cases remaining active.
