The number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 continues to rise in Manitowoc County, as over 300 people are now in that category.
This comes after 7 new cases, 6 more recoveries, and 118 negative tests were reported yesterday afternoon by the County Health Department. This leaves the pandemic long totals at 540 confirmed cases, 233 of which remain active, and 12,485 negative test results.
The city of Manitowoc remains the most impacted, accounting for 48.5% of all cases, followed by Two Rivers, which has 15.6% of all cases.
Meanwhile, the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health reported 14 new cases, 15 recoveries, and 224 negative test results. Their pandemic totals are now at 1,085 positive, and 28,235 negative tests, while 107 cases remain active.
Based on population numbers from 2019, 0.68% of all residents in Manitowoc County have tested positive for the coronavirus, while 0.94% of Sheboygan County residents have contracted the virus.
