According to reports from the Manitowoc County Health Department, 55 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed over the holiday weekend.
20 cases were reported on Friday, 15 on Saturday, 7 on Sunday, and 13 on Labor Day. That combined with only 15 new recoveries, leaves 292 active cases, while 331 people have recovered.
An additional 241 tests came back negative, leaving the pandemic long totals at 625 positive, and 12,791 negative tests.
The percentage of tests that have come back positive has also jumped up to over 4.6%.
Meanwhile in Sheboygan County, no report was issued over the weekend or on Labor Day, so the latest numbers are from their Thursday report last week. In that report a total of 1,117 people were confirmed to have contracted the virus, with 1,001 of those cases listed as fully recovered.
This leaves a total of 107 active cases, and 29,041 negative test results.
