The number of new COVID-19 cases reported in Manitowoc County over the weekend outweighed the number of people who recovered, albeit slightly.
42 new cases were reported, 9 on Friday, 22 on Saturday, and 11 on Sunday, while 37 people were added to the recovered column.
Also over the weekend, only 109 negative tests came back, but as we have reported in the past, the Health Department workers focus on the positive cases over the weekend, and the negative numbers should be reported throughout the week.
The pandemic long totals in Manitowoc County are at 706 total cases, 317 of which are active, and 13,205 negative test results.
Meanwhile in Sheboygan County, the Division of Public Health reported 25 new cases on Friday, along with 11 recoveries and 296 negative test results.
The totals for the pandemic are at 1,227 cases, 98 of which are active, and 30,884 negative test results.
