One of the first business types to close down due to COVID-19 were the theaters, and performing arts centers around the country, as they operate by bringing large groups of people together. That fact is also the reason they have remain mostly closed far past many other businesses.
Many of these places, such as the Capitol Civic Center and the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, have had zero revenue coming in, but there are a couple of bills on the Congressional floor which could help them stay afloat.
The Fox Cities P.A.C. is calling for Congressional leaders to pass the Save our Stages and RESTART Acts, which would open up funding for theaters, and sound stages.
A way you can support local theaters is by donating to them directly.
