For the third time this week, the single day COVID-19 record has been broken in Manitowoc County.
A day after the record was set again at 26 new cases, the Manitowoc County Health Department reported 37 new cases yesterday. Only 9 new recoveries were added to the report, and the number of negative tests went down by one due to corrections that were made.
The pandemic long totals now sit at 804 cases, 383 of which are active, 13,444 negative test results, and still 2 deaths.
Meanwhile, the Sheboygan Division of Public Health reported 43 new cases, 18 recoveries, and 267 negative test results. This leaves them at 1,348 total cases, 137 active cases, and 32,562 negative test results.
As for the positive return rate of the two counties, Manitowoc County is at 5.6%, while Sheboygan County sits at just under 4%.
