There is a new way to satisfy your sweet tooth in Two Rivers. The former Honey Pot building on Memorial Drive is being transformed into a specialty shop called Renee’s Chocolates.
Chris Hytry-Derrington is one of the new owners, and he says this is a different kind of chocolate shop. “Our model is ’Say goodbye to boring chocolates’,” Hytry-Derrington told SeehaferNews.com. “Our goal here is to offer a wide range of products that you cannot get at any other chocolate store.”
He said they have a wide variety of options including cheesecake on a stick. Chris explained that he picked that up from a company in Toronto. “They are having great success with that,” he explained.
Remodeling is continuing at the Two Rivers location, and plans are to also offer a variety of popcorn options along with the chocolates. There will be a station where customers can request a chocolate creation to be made to their own specification.
The business started in 2018 in a computer shop on Washington Street in Two Rivers and had to shut down due to the virus outbreak. It is now being brought back in the new location.
