According to data provided by the Manitowoc County Health Department, over the last month or so, older adults in Manitowoc County have been testing positive for COVID-19 at a higher rate than the younger ones.
For virtually the entire pandemic, the 26-35-year-old age range accounted for the most number of cases, but that is about to change. The 46-55-year-old age group is only a few cases behind their younger counterparts, with several other age groups not far behind.
In their report yesterday, the Health Department said that 15 more people tested positive, while 7 more people recovered, and no new negative tests were reported. This leaves the pandemic long totals at 910 cases, 455 of which are still active, and 13,872 negative test results.
In Sheboygan County, 31 more cases were reported yesterday by the Division of Public Health, along with 28 recoveries and 321 negative test results. Their totals now sit at 1,519 cases, 146 of which are active, 15 deaths, and over 34,000 negative test results.
