President Donald Trump moved his Saturday campaign stop from the airport in La Crosse to Janesville before he and First Lady Melania tested positive for COVID-19.
The campaign events in Janesville and Green Bay are now postponed.
Trump and the first lady tested positive hours after White Advisor Hope Hicks was diagnosed with COVID. Hicks traveled with the Trump campaign to a rally in Duluth, Minnesota Wednesday night.
The head of the Bellin Health Coronavirus Task Force saids Trump shouldn’t hold his rally at Austin Straubel Airport because northeast Wisconsin is a COVID hot spot.
Trump tweeted, “Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!”
