All week long, the COVID-19 numbers reported by the Manitowoc County Health Department have been pretty similar, with high numbers of both positive and negative test results.
In yesterday’s report, 36 new cases were confirmed, along with 222 negative tests. This brings those totals up to 1,503 total cases, and 15,472 negative tests. Those nearly 17,000 tests means that roughly 21.5% of the population has been tested, with 8.85% of tests coming back positive.
Also, in yesterday’s report 7 more people were listed as fully recovered, which again stays on track with the number of new cases that were reported this time last month.
As a reminder, the Health Department only lists cases as recovered once 30 days has passed since their positive test. A total of 609 people have recovered, leaving 889 active cases, and five deaths.
In Sheboygan County, 65 new cases were reported, with 43 coming out of the Kettle Moraine Correctional Institution. They are now up to 551 cases in their walls.
26 recoveries were also reported along with 662 negative test results. This brings their pandemic totals up to 2,434 confirmed cases, 291 of which remain active, 1,573 recoveries, 19 deaths, and 41,633 negative test results.
