The surge in positive COVID-19 test results continued Thursday when a new single-day record was set for Wisconsin.
The Department of Health Services puts the official number at 3,132.
That beats the previous record set last week by 245 cases.
Nine deaths were reported in the state.
Over the last seven days the positivity rate has risen to 17.1%.
More than 16,600 people were tested Thursday.
