Two more people have died from complications related to COVID-19 in Manitowoc County.
According to the Manitowoc County Health Department, these deaths actually occurred over the past couple of days, but there was a delay in reporting them due to the investigations needing to be completed.
Also, 29 new cases were added in the report, along with 20 new recoveries, and 39 negative tests. This brings the pandemic totals up to 1,890 cases, 1,161 remaining active, 722 recoveries, 16,319 negative tests, and 7 deaths linked to the virus.
Meanwhile in Sheboygan County, 136 new cases were reported, with 64 coming out of the Kettle Moraine Correctional Institution. This brings the KMCI total up to 696.
25 recoveries were also added, along with 390 negative tests. This brings the pandemic totals up to 3,118 cases, 552 of which remain active, 1,850 recoveries, and 44,478 negative tests.
The positive return rate in the County has now risen to just over 10%, which is nearly 2% higher than it was at the beginning of the month. The rate in Sheboygan County is currently at 6.5%.
