For the second time this week Wisconsin has set a new daily high for the number of positive test results for COVID-19.
There were 3,747 new cases reported Thursday, beating the record set two days earlier by almost 500.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services says every county in the state reported high or very high activity levels for the spread of disease. Wisconsin’s chief health officer is calling the situation a crisis.
More than a thousand patients are in hospitals right now and more than 33,000 cases of coronavirus are considered to be “active.”
