The Two Rivers Football team is in quarantine due to contact tracing of COVID 19.
This action was taken to verify if anyone within the program is considered to be a “close contact” to someone testing positive for the virus, meaning you would have had direct physical contact or were within six feet of that person for more than 15 minutes. Anyone having close contact should quarantine for 14 days and tested no sooner than five days after exposure.
Athletic Director Brian Gallagher tells Seehafer News that the Raiders next three games including tonight’s contest at New Holstein, October 23rd against Brillion and October 30th at Chilton are cancelled. Football activities will resume at Two Rivers October 27th but under WIAA Guidelines-schools must have a minimum of five practices before they can play thus canceling the Chilton game on October 30th and there next scheduled game will be November 6th against Kohler-Sheboygan Lutheran-Christian at Raider Field. Gallagher goes on to say “Please protect yourself and others and stay safe by wearing a mask and social distancing whenever possible. If you feel sick or asymptomatic call your health care provider-get tested and stay home while awaiting your result.”
The Two Rivers School District remains in a “hybrid learning” model with a mix of in-person and virtual learning with students spaced at least six feet apart.
