Despite the Wisconsin Electronic Disease Surveillance System (WEDSS) still being worked on, the Manitowoc County Health Department updated their COVID-19 stats yesterday.
According to their report, 147 new cases were added, along with 86 recoveries, and 1,631 negative tests. These numbers are a cumulative total from over the weekend and Monday.
The pandemic totals now sit at 2,151 confirmed cases, 1,295 of which remain active, 849 recoveries, 18,127 negative tests and still 7 deaths linked to the virus.
The Health Department was unable to update their cases by zip code and cases by age charts, however.
Meanwhile in Sheboygan County, one more person has died in connection to COVID-19. According to the Division of Public Health report, that individual was in the 80-year-old and up group.
152 cases were also reported over the weekend, with only 2 coming out of the Kettle Moraine Correctional Institution. MCI now accounts for 820 cases.
The way they report negative tests has also changed. Now as opposed to counting the cumulative number of negative tests, each person that has tested negative only gets counted once. Manitowoc County has been operating that was since the beginning.
Their pandemic totals now sit at 3,616 cases, 674 of which remain active, 2,101 recoveries, 27,683 negative tests, and 21 deaths linked to the virus.
