The number of new positive test results for COVID-19 topped four thousand for the first time Tuesday.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported a record 4,591 new cases. That tops the old record for a single day by more than 600.
33 people died Tuesday. That number of fatalities in a 24-hour period has been exceeded only once.
Of the 1.9 million people who have been tested in Wisconsin, more than 1.7 million produced negative results for the virus.
