COVID-19 is continuing to hit Manitowoc County hard, as another individual has died from the virus. Personal information about the deceased individual will not be released. This is the 11th death in Manitowoc County that has been linked to the coronavirus.
Also in the Health Department Report yesterday were 68 new cases, 35 recoveries, and 143 more negative test results. This brings the pandemic totals up to 2,764 cases, 1,655 of which remain active, 1,98 recoveries, and 19,353 negative tests.
The 46-55-year-old age group is still the most effected by the virus in Manitowoc COUnty, as they account for just shy of 500 cases. They are followed by the 56-65-year-old group, who is at around 475 cases. From there the gap is beginning to widen, as the next most effected age group is people between the ages of 26 and 35, who account for just over 400 cases.
Meanwhile in Sheboygan County, the Division of Public Health also reported another fatality due the virus, which brings their total up to 25. As has been the case in most recent deaths in the County, this person was in the 80+ age group.
An additional 107 cases were also reported, none of which stem from the Kettle Moraine Correctional Institution. 46 more people are now listed as fully recovered, while 180 tests came back negative.
This leaves their pandemic totals at 4,697 cases, 1,524 of which remain active, 2,290 recoveries, and 29,769 negative tests.
