Two more Manitowoc County Residents have died due to COVID-19. According to yesterday’s update from the County Health Department, this brings the local death toll up to 18.
Also in that report, 45 new cases were listed, along with 35 recoveries and 99 negative tests. This brings that pandemic totals up to 3,250 cases, 1,768 of which remain active, 1,464 recoveries, and 20,286 negative tests.
The number of active cases in Manitowoc County has been higher than the number of recoveries since the September 21st report, however over the past week or so, the gap has narrowed. The days when the gap narrowed the most was on October 28th and November 2nd, which is the only times over the last couple of weeks that there were more recoveries.
In Sheboygan County, the Division of Public Health reported 134 new cases, none of which stemmed from the Kettle Moraine Correctional Institution. Also in their report were 90 recoveries, 92 negative tests, and no new deaths.
This brings their pandemic totals up to 5,680 cases, 2,013 of which remain active, 2,769 recoveries, 31,223 negative tests, and 31 deaths linked to the virus.
