The numbers are not spectacular in any way in yesterday’s COVID-19 report from the Manitowoc County Health Department.
42 new cases were reported, along with 36 recoveries, both of which are moderate numbers. A couple of months ago, 42 new cases seemed like a lot, but it is significantly lower than the single day record high of 132 new cases, which was set on October 24th.
Also, 104 negative tests came back, leaving the pandemic totals at 3,292 cases, 1,774 of which remain active, 1,500 recoveries, 20,390 negative tests, and 18 deaths linked to the virus.
Meanwhile in Sheboygan County, 77 new cases were added, with none coming out of the Kettle Moraine Correctional Institution. A whopping 120 people were added to the list of recoveries, and 53 tests came back negative.
This leaves their pandemic totals at 5,757 cases, 1,970 of which remain active, 2,889 recoveries, 31,276 negative tests, and 31 deaths linked to the virus.
