Two more people have died from complications brought on by COVID-19 in Manitowoc County.
According to the Health Department report, both individuals were from outside of the city of Manitowoc and were under the age of 75. This brings Manitowoc County’s death toll up to 35.
Also, 81 new cases were confirmed, bringing the pandemic total up to 4,648. Two more people were hospitalized for treatment, raising that total to 174, and the percentage of ICU beds in use has rebounded back to 85%, a rise of 2%.
In some good news, the number of recoveries continues to be quite high. 71 new recoveries were reported yesterday, bringing that total up to 2,627, and leaving 1,986 active cases. The negative tests continue to roll in as well, with 104 coming in yesterday, raising that total up to 22,874.
Meanwhile, in Sheboygan County, the Division of Public Health reported 3 new deaths yesterday, raising their death toll to 51.
They also reported 289 new cases and 100 recoveries. This brings their pandemic totals up to 8,639 cases, 2,634 of which remain active, and 5,954 recoveries.
Also, 148 negative tests came back, raising that total to 35,445.
