The COVID-19 report issued yesterday by the Manitowoc County Health Department continues to show a promising trend. For the fifth time this week, the number of recoveries outweighed the number of new cases, drawing the number of cases ever lower.
48 new cases were confirmed, however, 60 more recoveries were also added. This brings the pandemic totals to 4,696 cases, 1974 of which remain active, and 2,687 recoveries.
62 more negative tests were also reported, raising that number to 22,936, and no new deaths means the death toll remains stagnant at 35.
It should also be noted that 14 fewer people are currently hospitalized for treatment of the virus, lowering the total to 160, and 82% of all ICU beds are currently available. That is a decline of 3%.
