The COVID-19 numbers in Manitowoc County may not be great, but they are significantly better than they were at their peak.
38 new cases were reported yesterday by the Manitowoc County Health Department, along with 43 recoveries. Since the start of the pandemic, 4,980 county residents have caught the virus, with 1,857 of those still battling it, and 3,086 have recovered.

The trend is beginning to flatten, but we are not out of the woods yet.

And for the 5th day in a row, no new deaths were reported, leaving the death toll in Manitowoc County at 37.
Meanwhile in Sheboygan County, 72 new cases were reported by the Department of Public Health. They also added one new death, which brings their death toll up to 62.
The additional 167 recoveries and 85 negative tests bring their pandemic totals up to 9,254 cases, 2,230 of which remain active, 6,962 recoveries, and 36,400 negative tests.
