Violet A. Weinberger, 87, of Sheboygan, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020 at Countryside Manor in Sheboygan where she had been residing.
Born June 11, 1933 in Two Creeks, WI, Violet was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Krizek Rasmussen. She attended Two Creeks and Mishicot Public School. On May 21, 1955, she was united in marriage to Henry G. Weinberger at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Violet worked at the Vollrath Company and Northern Plastics for many years until her retirement. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church for many years along with being the president of the Gold Member of the United Nations Foreign War Auxiliary. She also served as a chaplain of United Veterans of Foreign Wars military families. In her spare time, she loved knitting, making flower arrangements, spending time with her family and her beloved dog, Buffy.
She is survived by her sisters, Jeannette Korinek, Two Rivers, Darlene Eisenmann, Pembine, Jean Valenta, Oshkosh, and Kathleen (Frank) Pietroske, Two Rivers; her brothers, Richard Rasmussen, Pembine, and Charles (Judy) Rasmussen, Manitowoc; her sister-in-law, Helen Rasmussen, Mishicot; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, Henry, she was preceded in death by several brothers, Arthur, James, Ralph (Ruth) and Robert Rasmussen, five brothers-in-law, Gary (Emma) Stark, Gottfried (Esther) Weinberger, Donald Eisenmann, Jerome Korinek and Harold Kabat; sisters-in-law, Marie Weinberger and Emma Weinberger.
Funeral services for Violet will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 824 Wisconsin Avenue. The Rev. John Berg will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service. Masks will be required and social distancing will be observed. Interment will take place in Lutheran Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in her name for the VFW Post 9156.
