A local restaurant is hosting a fundraiser to support another local organization.
Chipper for the Clipper is taking place at Ryan’s on York from 11:00 until 9:00 this evening in support of the Clipper City CoOp.
Jenn Kitzman explained to SeehaferNews.com, “We really support that kind of community togetherness and having a local place that offers products that are healthy and locally sourced. That is something we really support and believe in, so we wanted to do something special to help give back to them this year.”
Kitzman also said, “It’s very difficult to do a normal fundraising type event when you are trying to factor in a lot of new and challenging obstacles with the pandemic.”
But they put their heads together and came up with this idea, which will help the CoOp, and will keep people safe.
“We wanted to focus on remembering what the Christmas spirit is about. Not just buying presents, but also about that spirit of giving,” Kitsman said.
Those who wish to support the cause simply need to order food from Ryan’s on York, either dine-in or take out, and leave a tip. Half of all tips left behind will go directly to the Clipper City CoOp.
