Elizabeth L. Koch, age 93, a resident of Two Rivers, entered eternal life on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.
Elizabeth was born on December 29, 1926 in Manitowoc to the late George and Petronella “Nellie” (Veeser) Norkosky. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1943. Elizabeth went on to complete her education at UW Madison and in New Jersey. On November 1, 1946, Elizabeth married John “Jack” Koch Jr. and then moved to Summit, New Jersey where she began employment at All State Insurance. In 1983, Elizabeth purchased Travel Headquarters which she owned and operated this travel agency for 34 years. Her love for travel and adventure took her to the far ends of the world including the ability and desire to travel to all seven continents. Along this route of travel, some of her highlights included Burma, the Congo in Africa, Cambodia, Peru, Singapore, and Hong Kong. In 2003, Elizabeth chose to move back to her family roots and found herself living out her life in Two Rivers.
Survivors include Elizabeth’s sister-in-law, Loretta Norkosky, Manitowoc; nieces and nephews, Wallace Norkosky Jr., Manitowoc; James (Brenda) Norkosky, Golden Valley, MN; Nancy (Rick) Peronto, Manitowoc; and Alan (Lori) Norkosky, Manitowoc; also, other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, George and Nellie (Norkosky) Watzke; husband, Jack; three brothers, Earl, Kenneth, and Wallace.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, December 28, 2020 at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, 1114 South 21st Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Jason Blahnik with burial to take place at Calvary Cemetery. A video of the funeral service will be streamed live on the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home Facebook page.
