The COVID-19 numbers reported by the Manitowoc County Health Department yesterday (Tuesday) were rather moderate compared to the day before.
After a day that saw the 3rd highest number of recoveries in a day, only 34 more people recover. On a good note, however, only 24 new cases were added, meaning the pandemic totals are now at 5,822 cases, 1,279 of which remain active, and 4,493 people have recovered.
Also, 5 fewer people are being treated for the virus in the 10 hospitals in the Northeast Region, which is a decline of 5. However, people are needing treatments for other ailments, as 79% of all ICU beds are in use, which is a jump of 5 percentage points.
The numbers in Sheboygan County are starting to look rather positive as well, as only 20 new cases were reported by the Division of Public Health yesterday. That coupled with 68 new recoveries brings their pandemic totals up to 10,914 cases, 1,245 of which remain active, and 9,583 recoveries.
Sheboygan County has definitely been hit harder as far as deaths are concerned, as two more people passed away yesterday, bringing their death toll up to 86. Both of these individuals were between 70 and 79-years-old.
