Richard Dave Dufek, age 57, died Wednesday, December 30, 2020 doing what he loved to do in the winter, plowing snow.
He was born July 31, 1963 to the late Richard J. Dufek and Betty Jane (Klein) Dufek. Richard graduated from Denmark High School and worked in the construction industry since he was 16. He started his career with L.C. Cherney of Denmark, then R&J Fricke of Manitowoc, and for the last 24 years worked at Valders Stone and Marble as the driller and senior blaster. In his younger days, he like to eat at the old R&M in Denmark, WI, where a pretty young girl worked. He would talk to her every time he went and one day he asked her out (on paper) and she accepted. The rest is history. This pretty young thing was Ann Linsmeier and they married on September 30, 1989 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kellnersville. His favorite place to eat out now was Susters in Denmark, for the food, he took his favorite pretty girl with him. Richard loved going out to eat, playing sheephead, fishing, riding his trike, and working together with his wife on their hobby farm. He also loved telling people he got to work with dynamite for a living. Richard’s kind, generous, fun loving, and easy going personality will be missed by his wife, family, friends, co-workers, and all that knew him, as well as his very special dog Bubba.
