Manitowoc County is back to just about the same number of active COVID-19 cases as they were last Tuesday.
On that day, 950 cases remained active, but three days of high numbers of new cases brought that number up to as high as 1011. Now, thanks to two consecutive days of sub-20 new cases, the active case count is now down to 951.
Only 10 new cases were added by the Manitowoc County Health Department, alongside 37 recoveries. This brings the pandemic totals up to 6,518 cases and 5,512 recoveries.
No new deaths were reported, leaving that total at 55, while 2 fewer people are seeking treatment in area hospitals. That total is now down to 97.
Meanwhile, the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health did report two new deaths. Of these two deaths, one is in the 60-69 age group, and one is in the 80+ age group, which brings the death toll in Sheboygan County up to 98.
They are also still seeing moderate numbers of new cases, with 48 more added yesterday, alongside 75 recoveries. This brings their pandemic totals up to 11,969 cases, 11,102 recoveries, and 769 active cases.
