It was another day of good news/bad news in Manitowoc County in relation to the COVID-19 statistics.
First for the good news, as only 25 new cases were added by the Health Department yesterday, alongside 34 recoveries, and no new deaths. This leaves the pandemic totals at 6,700 cases, 917 of which remain active, 5,726 recoveries, and 57 deaths.
Now for the not so good news.
The number of people hospitalized for COVID in the Northeast Region of hospitals jumped up by 13, bringing that total up to 95. The percentage of ICU beds in use also rose slightly to 76%.
Meanwhile, the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health reported another death from over the weekend. According to their report, this individual was over the age of 80, bringing their death toll up to 108.
Also, 96 new cases were reported between Saturday and Monday, along with 137 recoveries. The Sheboygan County pandemic totals now sit at 12,173 cases, 715 of which remain active, and 11,350 recoveries.
